I have been studying resource issues for over a decade, with particular focus on their influence on regional economics and specific sites and businesses (e.g. feedstocks). I have logged an extensive amount of review time with many different perspectives. What follows below is a short list of what I believe to be the best information for coming up to speed quickly on this perspective.

The Crash Course: Start by watching it on YouTube, then head over to www.ChrisMartenson.com to continue the conversation and keep up with current events. If you would prefer something a bit more bite-sized, here is a 45-min talk that encapsulates the main points of Chris’ POV.
I could recommend a pile of books to take it’s place, but Chris Martenson’s Crash Course is the single most comprehensive statement that I have come across regarding how our economy, energy systems, and environment interact, and how they will combine to become what I refer to as “the Era of Transition”. If politics and national decision making were not controlled by the vested interests of industry, Chris Martenson is the type of person that would be elected on the merits of his intellect, insights and vision for what is possible in spite of our fast approaching predicaments.
